A traditional 17th Century Lake District Inn with an old fashioned atmosphere and a warm welome. The Herdwick Inn is located in the secluded Lake Distrct village of Penruddock.
Popular with locals and visitors alike. The pub offers good value, high quality homemade food served throughout (booking is advised). Inside is a main bar with a log fire, pool room and dartboard. and a restaurant/dining area that can host up to 60 covers.
Outside the pub has a south facing beer garden to the rear with plenty of seating to enjoy. At the front there is also seating to watch the world go by.
Dogs are welcome in the main bar and our outside areas but we do not allow them in the restaurant. We do ask that dogs are kept on a short lead and that paws remain on floors please.
You can find us just off the A66 between Penrith and Keswick simply look for signposts to Penruddock, we are just at the top of the village. The pub is a bustop on the main route between Penrith and Keswick (Stagecoach X4 and X5).
